Listening to your body
Hakomi can be described as both a somatic and a mindfulness based modality. Many discoveries can be made in the immediate moment by observing your gestures and emotional states as they arise. Rather than focusing on your ideas about what has or is happening to you, in this modality we focus more on what’s arising in the immediate moment. Your story and ideas are still important. We work with those as well. But by attending closely to what your body is saying, the therapeutic work is accelerated and discoveries and healing can take place in deeper levels of your psyche.
